Man wants to open coffee museum in Italy
An Italian journalist - a coffee connoisseur and collector - wants to create a coffee museum in his home town of Trieste.
Gianni Pistrini said he already has a small coffee section in his small historical collection.
But a recent donation of a 100-year-old roasting machine, and interest in coffee makers and espresso machine manufacturers around the world, have given support to his museum goal, ANSA reports.
Coffee consumption is still huge in Italy, despite recent downward drinking trends. Pistrini's home of the port of Trieste has historical ties to the java trade.
It is also the No. 1 manufacturer of espresso machines.
