Ethiopian Coffee is the Best
Ethiopia has won coffee testing competition at Eastern African Fine Coffees Association Exhibition held in Arusha, Tanzania, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
Ethiopian coffee which was made and served to the gathering in a traditional way at the exhibition held from 16-18 February won appreciation of the participants, the ministry said quoting Ethiopian Embassy in Nairobi.
The ministry said a number of coffee purchasers publicly hailed Ethiopian coffee on the occasion.
Coffee purchasers from England, Italy, the Russian Federation, Brazil, France, Holland and other companies were present on the occasion, according to the ministry.
The ministry said Ethiopian women residing in Arusha and working at the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda who were wearing the Ethiopian traditional dresses promoted the country's culture and added colour to the Ethiopian pavilion.
According to the ministry, the exhibition was opened by Vice President of Tanzania.
Meanwhile, Synod of the Debreselam Medhanalem Church in Khartoum, Sudan has slammed the deplorable events occurred at the celebration of Meskel, Founding of the True Cross as well as Timket, Ethiopian Epiphany, the ministry said.
According to the ministry, the church also expressed support to the position taken by the synod of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church.
