Alive!
Fresh and Honest Cafe Limited (FHCL), a leader in the freshly brewed coffee vending business, announced in Chennai the launch of ‘Alive!' filter coffee powder, its new initiative in the retail market segment. The success of the company's coffee vending division has carved a natural entry path for their foray into the packaged filter coffee segment.
‘Alive!', Fresh & Honest's latest offering, is a roast and ground coffee, made from Indian beans with the blend of 70 per cent coffee and 30 per cent chicory. The company uses state-of-the-art and proven technology right from the sourcing of raw beans to roasting, blending, grinding of beans into powder and blending of coffee and chicory, to suit the coffee connoisseur who prefers the taste of authentic filter coffee.
Speaking on the occasion: "F&H with its vast experience in the coffee vending business has always made a deep connect with consumers' lives through product quality and innovations in product offering and presentation. With the launch of ‘Alive!', F&H carries forward that rich heritage and customer experience in the retail segment. Consumers can now experience the same great taste of rich filter coffee at home. We are confident that they will find immense value offering in our new product - not just in taste and quality, but the entire experience."
The coffee beans that go into the preparation of ‘Alive!' are subject to both dry and air roasting processes. Various grades of roasted beans are blended using Danish make Forberg mixers. These mixers are being used for the first time in the country and ensure consistency in blending. Grinding equipment from world leaders - Probat of Germany - are used to ensure better aroma retention in the ground powder through a unique chilling process.
Also, each grade of coffee bean is individually roasted to release its full flavour, thereby providing a rich filter coffee with better yield, aroma, strength and colour that would serve the right blend to coffee enthusiasts who prefer traditional filter coffee.
‘Alive!' which is packed in high optical density metallised polyester material with nylon poly inner layer for better moisture barrier and aroma retention properties, is available in 50, 100, 200 and 500 gms retail packs in the market.
Now the company will move on to the other southern states (which account for over 90 per cent of India's packaged filter coffee market) and then to the major metros in the rest of India where there is a lot of south Indian population.
